Accidents and Near Misses
There is now an accident mail box and accident report book in the foyer. Please report all accidents in and around the Clubhouse. The same book can be used to report near misses on the river. Please drop the Clubhouse Officer a message or email club@cargreenyacht.club if a form is submitted.

RYA Boating Checklists
In 2024, RNLI lifeboats launched 1,900 times to powered boat users and sailors, aiding 1,447 people and saving 42 lives. The RYA is delighted to partner with the RNLI, MCA and Irish Sailing to create a new series of free checklists for boat owners as they prepare for the start of the season. From weather checks to onboard safety equipment, the assets have been designed to assist boaters, starting with pre-season planning.

Dinghy Regatta
We are excited to announce the upcoming CYC Dinghy Regatta, which will be hosted on either July 24-25 or August 27-28. This event is open to all club dinghy sailors, featuring handicap racing. We invite you to express your interest in participating or volunteering to help make this event a success. Cruise in Company - 7th - 9th June
There will be a short cruise from Cargreen to the River Yealm on Friday June 7th returning on Sunday June 9th, the aim is to cruise there either independently or in company on the Friday (7th) or Saturday (8th) Then enjoy a relaxed sociable time together over all or part of the weekend, a pontoon party, a trip to the yacht club

Friday January 19th, 7.30pm, Pete Goss, building the Spirit of Mystery and sailing her to Australia in the wake of many a Cornishman.
Most sailors will have heard of and even followed the many sailing adventures that Pete Goss has had over many years, his talk will focus on his project to build Spirit of Mystery a replica 19th century wooden Cornish lugger and then the adventure sailing her all the way to Australia. Boats start arriving at CYC from approximately 13.30 but you are welcome to come down from about 12.00.There will be two bars, a beer and cider bar downstairs and all other drinks from upstairs. CYC Regatta
Preparations for the 2023 Cargreen Yacht Club Cruiser Regatta on Saturday 9th September are well underway. Afloat the Sailing Instructions have just been issued - see the Regatta section for details. Shore side entertainment with live music and food from 1400. The Bar will be open throughout the event until late card payment only.
