Eddystone Pursuit, Saturday 13^th June 2026Horizons is a registered charity for the Eddystone Pursuit. The Eddystone Pursuit is an incredible opportunity to raise vital funds for Horizons and help more children get out on the water with us.

What is the Eddystone Pursuit?
The Eddystone Pursuit is a 26-mile sailing challenge from Plymouth Sound out to the Eddystone Lighthouse and back. We're looking for Horizons supporters with boats who would like to take part in support of Horizons.
The more boats we enter, the more money we raise and the more young people we can help discover sailing locally!

What do you need?

• A boat capable of completing a 26-mile course
• A suitable crew and skipper
• Boats that meet the required safety standards

Sponsorship (Important)
As a crew (of 1 boat), you must raise a minimum sponsorship of £100, it's a good idea to start fundraising early, the more you raise, the more points you earn towards prize money!
Any sponsorship money and Gift Aid forms must be sent to Horizons
(Gift Aid can significantly increase the amount we receive)

How do you enter?
You can enter using the link below. There is a £40 registration fee, which we recommend splitting between your crew. If you already have a crew or team in mind, please drop me an email.
If you have a boat, know someone who does, or would like to get involved in any way, we'd love to hear from you. This is a brilliant way to support Horizons and be part of something truly special in 2026.

Extra Points for Special Teams
You can boost your fundraising by qualifying for bonus points! If you can put together any of the following, you'll raise additional funds for your chosen charity:

• Enter an all-female crew (All female- crew event)
• Have 3 yachts sailing for the same charity (Teams Event)
  
• 3 or more sailors working for the same business (Smeatons Trophy)
